Chris Christie is Toast
Chris Christie did more to reelect Barack Obama than even Bill Clinton's help on the campaign trail. We saw a peek of this side of Chris Christie in the convention: it was all about Chris Christie. The man's ego, and self-absorption, interferes with his ability to play nicely with others in the Republican Party.
What was particularly upsetting about his bromance with Obama, and his endorsement of Obama's handling of the hurricane, is that Romney had been campaigning for weeks on bipartisanship, based on his record as governor of Massachusetts. The strategy was working ; Romney was closing the gender gap. Until Chris Christie undid all that hard work, all those inroads, with strolling arm and arm with Barack Obama down the beach. (Kind of reminded me of Barbara Streisand and Robert Redford in The Way We Were.)
He is a traitor.
He is also up for reelection this coming year, one of the very few national elections in 2013.
Chris Christie needs a primary challenger. And I will donate to whoever steps forward to take on that role. Frankly, I don't care if this means that Republicans lose the governor's race in New Jersey, because Chris Christie is no Republican.

Big Fat Traitor! Go eat some doughnuts off Obamas ass! Fat ass
Bridget, you are pathetic. The governor's state had been decimated and Christie is thankful for the help to the people of his state and you call him a traitor. You embody all that is wrong in this country.
I have no problem whatsoever with Christie thanking the president for doing his job. He went way beyond that -- essentially, Christie endorsed Obama, after previously endorsing Romney. That is called a double-cross and it is the reason that Christie has destroyed any chance he had at national office. Christie's only thought was how to advance his own career; his reelection campaign starts today, and Obama was up in his state by double digits. In any event, Obama's response to Sandy was no better than Bush's to Katrina.
You guys are a bunch of clowns. It's now wonder that Obama was re-elected.
So, you idiots would have Chris Christie talk bad about Obama and refuse his help while people in his state are suffering and dying? WOW!
The fact of the matter is this. First, the Republicans are too stupid to figure out that something is going on with the climate -- especially in the eastern half of the US. Two hurricanes hitting the NE in the last two years -- and only one in the previous 50 years. It doesn't take a genius to ask questions about that. Second, people didn't vote for Romney because his campaign didn't really stand for very much, he repeated lied to try to get votes, and he proved himself to be untrustworthy. Perhaps Christie figured that out and backed away.
Here's an idea. How about you reach out to people with diverse views in your own party? Starting with Chris Christie. Any while you're at it, how about not being for f-ing racist towards blacks, Latinos and others? How about you have your candidates get the heads out of their rear ends and stop taking moronic positions like rape is okay -- and there is some sort of difference between "legitimate rape" and other rape? Do you hear what is coming out of the mouths of you fools? And you wonder why people backed Obama. Here's a clue, Obama is not prize, but you guys are clowns. And by comparison, you make Obama look like a far superior choice.
Go ahead and punish Chris Christie. It will just be one more election that the democrats will win while you clowns fight among yourselves.
Hey Anonymous (is that a family name?) I called on Akin to resign. He and Mourdock were unforced errors. I have no problem with Christie accepting the federal money and even thanking the president. He went way beyond that, to save his own hide in his gubernatorial race. As far as global warming, assuming you are correct, I thought the One was supposed to stop the rise of the seas.
Hey Bush. I'm from New Jersey. And if Christie didn't do everything to try to help people (including sucking up to Obama to get us some help, money, FEMA, and whatever else), he would be gone in about 20 seconds. This is freaking New Jersey -- not New Orleans. We don't play those sorts of games up here. You're not going to see a bunch of folks stranded in football stadium and the government aint doing sh*t to help them. Governor or not, that stuff happens up here and someone would have gotten their skulls cracked.
I'm a Republican and I voted for Obama -- along with a whole lot of other people from New Jersey. Mostly because we all thought that Romney was a total douche bag. At least Obama had the gonads to find Bin Laden and put a couple of bullets in his head. Romney said something like he wasn't worried about Osama. Is he out of his freaking mind. I know people who died in the towers -- and this douche says that he's not worried about the guy who did that? Is he serious?
Christie is a good guy. I voted for him and will vote for him again. He speaks the truth. Like he said, when you house is messed up and you have no power or water -- you don't really give a damn about Romney or some freaking election.
Maybe you guys ought to learn something from Christie. And by the way, did Romney think he was going to win New Jersey? If he did, he's delusional.
Of course a governor should do all he can to help his constituents. It shouldn't be necessary to suck up to the president to make him do his job.
I had hoped Christie would run for president at one point, so it was with a great deal of sadness that I concluded that he cannot get the nomination -- at least as a Republican.
The way you closed your post makes it seem like you care about the Republican party more than the question of who will get things done for America (or New Jersey in this case). I, for one, prefer people who give credit where it is due. Why do you feel differently?
Christie is a low life. He calls Obama to congratulate him on his victory and sends Romney an email to console him. Then says that he and Romney are great friends.
Way to treat your friends there Governor Lard Ass.
