Yesterday, a visitor from Kenya spent over 14 minutes reading this blog. We are beginning to suspect it is one of Barack Obama's relatives. Will the Kenyan please identify himself or herself?

Greetings to Kenya!
For the last two days at least one person from Kenya has been reading this blog extensively. Yesterday, a Kenyan spent over nine minutes on the blog. That Elephants in the Bluegrass has attracted an international audience is not surprising, as our readership includes many visitors from outside the United States every day. But given Obama's connections to Kenya, we are particularly interested in what sparked the interest of the visitor from Kenya. We recently posted on Obama and Kenya, and would be interested in a Kenyan perspective in response.

"Brother's Keeper" -- As In, Keep That Anti-Obama Reporter In Jail!
Obama likes to claim that Americans should be their "brother's keeper." The irony is that Obama has done next to nothing for his half-brother who lives in a hut in Kenya on less than $1 a month, according to Suntimes.com.
Today comes word that a reporter who traveled to Kenya to report on Obama's kin has been detained by authorities. The World Net Daily reports:
The government of Kenya is holding WND senior staff reporter Jerome Corsi in custody at immigration headquarters after police picked him up at his hotel just prior to a scheduled news conference in which he planned to announce the findings of his investigation into Barack Obama's connections in the country.
Corsi, the author of the No. 1 best-selling book "The Obama Nation," was picked up by authorities at his hotel at 9:45 a.m. and detained at Nyayo House, the provincial headquarters for Nairobi.
"Just as we were about to start the 10 a.m. press conference at the Grand Regency Hotel in Nairobi, Kenyan immigration approached us and detained us," Corsi told WND by telephone this morning. "Tim Bueler, my publicist, and I are now in the immigration offices, with our passports taken. The immigration officer told the press, 'There is no problem, and Dr. Corsi is a friend of Kenya.'"
Unconfirmed reports say Corsi has been taken by government officials to the airport. He has not been available by phone or e-mail since 9:30 a.m. Eastern.
Sort of bad timing for Obama, what with tonight's debate and all. Maybe a member of the audience will ask him about his Kenyan family. Want to bet on how many uhs that question would elicit from the teleprompterless candidate?
